Giving makes you smell...
Just reading Luke 7:37,
It’s the story of the woman who poured expensive perfume upon Jesus’ feet….
“When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with...
i am revival: Frog Story [A Parable] →
iamrevival-blog:
My mom sent this to me (not sure where she found it):
A group of frogs were traveling through the woods and two of them fell into a deep pit. All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs…
A hopping good little story
Today matters.
So often we postpone our joy. Don’t we? I think you know what I mean.
We put it off to some future event or situation that we look forward to, saying to ourselves, “When this event happens in a few days, or when I have this or that - then I will be more joyful and more happy.” And so we wait, we hold off the moment.
But why?
Everyday is a gift. Everyday is special. Can...

I'm sorry.
Sometimes saying “sorry” or “oops, that was my fault” or “ya got me there”, can be so liberating for us. And so freeing on the inside. Yep.
The act of admittance of a shortcoming or wrongdoing on our behalf can short circuit blame, disable bitterness, and paralyze division between friends as we acknowledge our imperfections.
And often — saying sorry, is the...

The world honors those who are intelligent, beautiful, rich, and powerful. The kingdom of God sees the faithful, available, humble & obedient as the truly intelligent, beautiful, wealthy and powerful.

Draw on all might to keep clean & bright,
for you are the window through which you must view this world.
But if there’s a smear, never fear, jesus is here, and his blood runs crystal clear.

A Poetic Divulge, a story from the other side
My son, let me tell you stories of old..
In the days of life upon the earth, we all had so much to offer.
Our human bodies were vessels of light, they painted lives with every stroke, and the breath of God gave us the ability to love.
We danced upon the earth with the trials and the songs, the rights and the wrongs, the lessons that we learned, the wrestles that we earned. They wove a story...
Baptism Miracle
delightexploration:
jeremylang:
Tonight at Bethel Church in Redding they were doing baptisms. A young man who happened to be blind got baptized. When he came back out of the water he could see shadows and lights. People went with him in the hallway and started praying for more sight and breakthrough. A short while later he could describe a picture on the wall and recognize words… The blind...

Honor
As cancer is caused by cells that rebel from their own source of life, so too will counterfeit crooked desires fill the heart of one who departs from the shelter of honor.
Strikety strike yay yay yay
Some people jokingly say that if they “ever set foot in a church or turned to God, they’d probably get struck by lighting!” Ha.. though truthfully, the only kind of ‘lightning bolts’ that I’ve found God wants to strike us with are, kindness, acceptance, unconditional love, peace, vision, encouragement & grace. Why run from that? These are the sort of things...
Daddy of the dollhouse...
This is cute…
I heard a story where a father was sitting in his lounge room relaxing one weekend and his 5 year old daughter came to him and said; “Daddy, can you please make me a dollhouse?” The father paused, and said, “Yeah sure, we can put it on the list, dear” then went back to watching tv. Immediately the little girl went to her room, started digging out all...

Self-control? Yeah, I'll get around to it...
Reading the book of 1Timothy. And about “self-control”.
(One of our biggest friends or foes in life.)
Interestingly, wherever it is mentioned, it has the word “exercise” just before it. “He must exercise self-control.” Now I need to make it clear that this is not a topic of salvation, we all have our struggles, and that is where Grace comes in to cover us,...
For some, their most regretted Sin won’t be: Lying, stealing, lust, unforgiveness or selfishness, but simply saying “no thanks” to God.
But it’s not too late, God isn’t proud. He’s really good.

skripture-sketches:
Hey Sisters, I wrote this letter to the girls I know a while back to tell them what they should be looking for in a guy. I’m not claiming to be some kind of authority on relationships, but I’ve made enough mistakes to know that certain things are important. This is in no way a…

It's all just Science, or is it?
I think it’s funny how health marketers use the code word ‘science’ to help them sell their products. I.e “This Ab-Master has been scientifically proven to help you lose weight.” Interestingly, philosophical’s & theorists like to clothe their ungrounded imaginations about life by saying, ‘it’s Science,” when really, it is not. Don’t...
Men wrote the Bible, yes, but in as much as my pen inked a story of mine. We are merely the pen, precious & important yes, but also part of a much greater story.
Men ‘wrote’ the Bible to the same degree as my pen has the ability to write a story of mine. It’s not about the pen.
The impenetrable Fortress
If God’s word, the bible, could be seen not as words on a page, but in the form of a building. We would witness the most integral fortress & structure. A masterful craft of beauty, finesse, strength and wonder, that of which no mortal man could have ever imagined.

Don't get stuck in the transition
The below is a tad full-on but it seemed interesting so I replayed here…
On spiritual transition into your calling
A section from a Blog from J Lee Grady
“…Contend for your promise. Transition is a vulnerable time—and it requires spiritual warfare. The enemy is a thief and he wants to rob us of our inheritance. He does not want us to move forward in God, take new territory,...

“Jesus spent a lot of his time ignoring protocol, defending the weak, electrifying multitudes with his words, upsetting hypocrites, speaking the blunt truth to politicians, giving his best friends nicknames (including “Satan” on one occasion), and getting very angry.”~ Men Envisioned

Jesus turned water into wine, yet some of the church has tried to turn wine back into water ever since! -it’s ok to appreciate a drink containing alcohol.. just don’t get drunk and be an Idiot.
If you don’t have someone you trust who can speak into your life and challenge you to do things even if at times, you may not entirely agree with them, then you’re in dangerous territory.
